STRAPPING

Regular Duty steel strapping is manufactured from cold-rolled steel under rigid quality control. Precise uniformity in width, gauge and finish ensures trouble-free operation with automatic strapping machines and pneumatic or manual strapping tools.

Super Duty strapping is a cost-effective alternative op high-tensile steel strapping, with similar performance characteristics in most applications. Ideal for many palletizing, unitizing, packaging and baling applications in a wide range of industries. Super duty has the break strength of High tensile, but not the shock resistance.

High Tensile strapping is manufactured from special analysis cold-rolled steel and is fully heat treated to provide high tensile strength and ductility. The cold-rolled high-tensile strapping ensure uniformity in finish and gauge for trouble-free operation in power tools. High tensile strength affords extra protection and shock resistance under all strapping conditions.

Finishes
Painted and waxed strapping features a high quality coating to resist corrosion, and is uniformly waxed to ensure ease of operation in strapping tools and machines. It meets requirements of Federal Specifications QQ-S-781, Types I and IV, Class A coated finish and ASTMD3953-91 Type 1, Finish A.

This type of strapping is developed especially for automatic machine applications where standard finishes have not provided satisfactory performance.

Available in all sizes.

Also Available:

  • Unpainted, Unwaxed, Or Painted Only
  • Punched And Cut To Length.
  • Alloy Strapping - Monel, Stainless Steel
  • Tight Edge (Curved Edge)
  • Special Insulation Strapping
  • Special Coatings
  • Galvanized

SEALS

There are four basic types of seals. The following information will help aid in seal selection.

  • The type of tensioner employed determines which seal to use.
  • The strap determines the seal size.

Snap-on R.D. Type
Snap On

Snap-on Semi-open H.T. Type
Open Seal
Snap-on seals may be used with all except pusher type and magazine-fed tensioners. Placed in the overlapping strap ends during or after tensioning, they facilitate speedy strapping. (Also known as "Open Seals")

Thread-on Seals
Thread On
May be used with all tools except pusher type and magazine fed tensioners. Pre-threaded on the overlapping strap ends before the strap is tensioned, they are excellent for us on narrow operating surfaces, on bales or bundles, or where it is desirable to form a loop with the seal holding the strap.

Pusher-type Seals
Pusher
Are used with pusher-type tensioners. Pushing against the seal tensions the strap. These are recommended for bundling rods and tubes and for coil strapping. (Also known as Overlap Seals)

Magazine-type Seals
Magazine
Are available in seal clips and are automatically fed from a magazine in the combination tool. (Competitive magazine tools available)
